When you and your customer choose a task-based project, the client agrees to pay you when you perform a task that is required to complete the goal.
As you accomplish a task, you can choose to add a claim and obtain payment.
In a task-based project, a freelancer is hired and compensated in a variety of ways.

- Rate per page
- Rate per sale
- Rate per writing
- Rate per week
- Rate per month
This will be set by the customer
The process –
1. Go to “find work”. The page will show some relevant job postings. Also, if you want to work on a task basis search for jobs that are listed for task-basis. Because the customer chooses the project type while filling the post requirement form if they want to hire a freelancer on a task basis or project basis.
2. When you find a job that you would like to bid for, tap on the “propose a bid” button.
3. The propose a bid button will show you a proposal form, where you’ll see these sections –
- Project name
- Solution
- Timing
- Availability
- When can I start the work?
- Enter rate
- Estimate number of hours a week
- Upload a file
4. Get creative and use this form to impress the client.
5. In the project section – you’ll be given two options.
- Project-based
- Milestone based
6. Choose milestone-based. And fill up the other necessary sections and submit the form.
7. After submission, wait for the response from the client’s side. If the client likes your bid, they’ll send you a message in response, which you’ll be notified of via mail.
8. To check the response, go to “Works” and “All bids”.
9. Under the bid, there you’ll see two new options.
- View reply – here you can check their message and chat with them to carry on the project.
- Propose an agreement – an agreement form consisting of the following: project name, commercial, enter rate, timing, availability and when can I start the work?
10. The information will be auto-filled, however, double-check before submitting.
11. After submission, if clients accept your agreement – you’ll find three new sets of options available in the bid section.
- Cancel – if you don’t wish to continue, you can opt to cancel the deal, through the “cancel” option.
- Add claim – as soon you complete a task, you can add a claim and submit it. After adding the claim, you’ll be notified via mail if the client has accepted the claim and made the payment to escrow, and approved it. As soon as the client approves, you’ll be notified and paid for the completed job.
- Mark as completed – Mark the job as completed if it is 100% done.
12. If needed you can add more claims by selecting the “add claim” option underneath the agreement section.
13. You can also check your previous claims by selecting the option “view claim list”.
14. “Mark completed” after you’ve successfully finished the job.
Note: Verified service providers will be charged a 7% service fee for all the jobs that they work on regularly.
